Although no Christmas season would be complete without the melodious singing of this tuneful carol, very little is known about its origin. It is believed to have had its rise in France during the fifteenth century. Noel is a French word originating from Latin meaning "birthday." The song is thought to have been brought across the channel to England before 1823 by the wandering troubadours. The carol under the English form, "Nowell," became a great favorite for Christmas Eve, especially in the west of England. This was when the entire village gathered for singing and celebrating the bringing in of the Yule log. At this time carols were thought of as popular religious songs meant to be sung outside the church rather than within.

"The First Noel" portrays in vivid narrative style the story of the birth of Christ. All six stanzas are needed to complete the entire event when the hymn is sung. The sixth stanza urges us to join together to sing praises to God for the marvels of His creation and for the salvation provided through Christ's shed blood. The repetition of the joyous "noel" in the refrain is equivalent to our singing out "happy birthday" to someone.

It is interesting to observe that the "King of Israel" was first announced to "certain poor shepherds" only, but in the final stanza the phrases "let us all" and "mankind hath brought" remind us that Christ came to redeem the whole world.

The first noel the angel did say was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay-in fields where they lay keeping their sheep, on a cold winter's night that was so deep.

They looked up and saw a star shining in the east, beyond them far; and to the earth it gave great light, and so it continued both day and night.

And by the light of that same star, three wise men came from country far; to seek for a king was their intent, and to follow the star wherever it went.

This star drew nigh to the northwest, o'er Bethlehem it took its rest; and there it did both stop and stay, right over the place where Jesus lay.

Then entered in those wise men three, full rev'rently upon their knee, and offered there, in His presence, their gold and myrrh and frankincense.

Then let us all with one accord sing praises to our heav'nly Lord, that hath made heav'n and earth of naught, and with His blood mankind hath bought.

Hello everybodyyy!! You all know I'm not one for credibility when it comes to Jesus. All my "credibility" is in the Lord so I just want to share something here because I have literally nothing to lose. We're all in the same family. What I find most amazing is the hunger for actually hearing God speak, which is what the Church on a whole is afraid to speak about. God's audible voice is the most wonderful thing and encouraging no matter what we are facing. The biggest challenge we have, however, is conveying and walking according to what He has already spoken to us in just the 66 books of the Bible. But here's a little secret I've never told anyone. For over 29 years, I've heard God's audible voice many times, and have felt God's rain and mist on my face, hands and arms quite often and many times I have to look and see if the sky is clear or if there are lawn sprinklers on. And it's funny when it's indoors. God is so much more than who we are being told! Don't be afraid to share how the Lord let's us know He is always with us. After all, Christianity is a personal relationship. If it's not personal with us, it won't be personal with others we attempt to bring to the Lord. Acts 17: 23B thru 28 ...him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring..
P.S., we all must know by now, the feelings of being numb to the things of the Lord and that lost honeymoon feeling we once had, so I prayed to "return to my first love" and regain that "lost feeling." You know when you just want to shout of the Lord from every roof-tiop? Well, I got it back and have had it for some time now, but am just getting around to sharing. I hope this is a blessing to all. Revelation 2:4-7 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Why Do We Pray!?

"In the powerful work, Giving Ourselves to Prayer, Gary T. Meadors observes that dialogue with the Almighty is part of the fabric of the Bible: “Genesis 4:26 first mentions that ‘men began to call on the name of the Lord,’ and Revelation 22:20 closes the Bible with the prayer, ‘Come, Lord Jesus’ (compare 1 Corinthians 16:22). The entire history of redemption is framed in prayer. In between these terminal references we find a database about prayer that is so large it requires description beyond simple definition.”¹ Why do we pray?..."

Here are a few key reasons:2

1. We love Him. Just as a man and woman in love desire to be together and communicate, so we, if we love God, will desire to be with Him and to fellowship with Him in proportion to our love for Him.

2. We depend on God. He is our source. He is our life (Colossians 3:4). Through prayer, we receive the comfort, strength, and all the other resources we need in life, both naturally and spiritually. Prayer—relationship with God—is as necessary to the spiritual life as air is to the natural life.

3. Prayer allows us to resist temptation. Jesus warned His disciples to “watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation” (Matthew 26:41, NKJV). Living a life without prayer can leave us weak and exposed, giving an opportunity for the enemy to gain ground and potentially lure us into sin.

4. Prayer is necessary for people to invite God to act in salvation. God gave the earth to Adam and his descendants, so we must invite God to work here. If no one invites Him to work on earth, Satan—the “god of this age” because of humanity’s universal rebellion (2 Corinthians 4:4)—will dominate human affairs, and eventually the judgment of God will come. By inviting God to intercede often and specifically, multitudes can be saved who would otherwise be lost.

5. God commands us to pray. In Colossians 4:2, Paul writes: “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving” (NKJV). Jesus also encouraged His followers to pray: “Then He [Jesus] spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1, NKJV).

The need to pray is as great as the authority of God, who commands us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17, NKJV). Prayer is so vital to all that God wants to do on the earth, and it is so essential to us, that He commands us to do it all the time. We should even deny ourselves sleep and food at times to pray more and with greater power (see Matthew 6:16; Luke 6:12; Luke 21:36; Colossians 4:2; 2 Corinthians 11:27). Or, as John Chrysostom wrote:

Prayer has subdued the strength of fire. It has bridled the rage of lions, hushed anarchy to rest, extinguished wars, appeased the elements, burst the chains of death, expanded the fates of heaven, assuaged diseases, dispelled frauds, rescued cities from destruction, staid the sun in its course, and arrested the progress of the thunderbolt. In this communion with God, there is an all-sufficient panoply, a treasure undiminished, a mine that is never exhausted, a sky unobscured by clouds, a heaven unruffled by the storm. It is the root, the fountain, the mother of a thousand blessings!3

THIS IS AN UPDATED MID-TERM ELECTION DAY INTRO TO YESTERDAYS' YOUTUBE I RECORDED. Your vote is the justice of the righteous! Votes! Not riots! This is the day we quit giving all the Tom foolery the light of day as the attention whores of mainstream media and chaos tramps the socialist/commie- Democrats have been behaving as they are! In a Church with so many brilliant and profound minds with all the splendid oratory skills and revelatory Scripural parallels entwined throughout their stunning sermons and observances of hidden gems of exhuburent presentations, I'd just like to say that I just realized after so many posts of the same verse I posted several times throughout yesterday and today, it went un noticed that a verse I know the Lord gave me for the Nov 6 midterms is also the same month and day of the voting day. 11-6 Proverbs 11:6 Believe it. It doesn't mean God likes one side and hates another. It merely means He's actually intervening due to some sort of need for mercy and grace, whether we know or deserve it or not. But the following verse is all the explanation we need for this miracle in the midst of our nation's stupidity. Some folks are about to get locked up and #POTUS #DonaldTrump is NOT getting impeached. Douay-Rheims Bible Proverbs 11:6 "The justice of the righteous shall deliver them: and the unjust shall be caught in their own snares." And when justice of your vote ius exacted, no body will have the Electoral College to blame. They'll blame the rain. They'll blame Trump. They'll blame Russia Russia Russia. But they can't blame the Electoral College.

As a single mother of one, Lourdes Robles-Velazquez has to watch every penny.

She spends her money judiciously. She trims the fat from her budget. She cuts out luxuries.

But she’s never had the option of canceling her car insurance, even when she could barely afford it. That’s not a luxury. In most states, everyone who drives is legally required to be insured.

“With car insurance, you have to have it,” Robles-Velazquez says. “There’s no way you can get around it.”

She reached a point where something had to give, though. She couldn’t afford her premiums anymore. Her insurance — with Liberty Mutual at the time — had to cover two Toyota Priuses that she and her daughter drive.

“Being a single mom and a student, [I am] always trying to find ways to save money,” she says. “I was trying to find car insurance that wasn’t that expensive, but it’s hard if you don’t have anyone to explain the different types of plans to you.”

Robles-Velazquez has to juggle a lot of bills.

She just celebrated her 60th birthday, and has a 25-year-old daughter. She’s an office manager at a nonprofit mental health agency in San Jose, California and attends nearby Santa Clara University, studying to be a counseling psychologist.

Looking for an answer to her car insurance problems, she found a solution through a Facebook ad.

Doing the Comparison Shopping for You

That’s how Robles-Velazquez found Gabi, a service that compares auto insurance policies. Gabi shopped around for her, collecting rates from the 20 largest auto insurers in her home state of California.

Once Robles-Velazquez linked her insurance account to Gabi, it immediately:

Scanned her existing insurance plan.
Analyzed which coverage she had.
Compared other major insurers’ rates for that same coverage.
Found her a better rate and offered to help her switch on the spot.

She didn’t even have to fill out any forms.

“[Gabi] gave me a couple of quotes, including one that brought the price down,” Robles-Velazquez says. “I switched [companies] immediately and started to save some money.”

How much money? Insuring two Toyota Priuses, she’s saving $80 a month, which adds up to $960 a year.

Since she signed on with Gabi two years ago, she’s changed insurers twice to save money. Following Gabi’s suggestions, she’s moved from Liberty Mutual to Allstate to Mercury Insurance.

“Right now, I’m paying $125 a month for both cars,” she says. She used to pay about $205.

Gabi says it finds an average savings of over $460 per year for more than 60% of its customers.

Now she’ll never have to shop for car insurance again. Gabi has her policy on file. As her life circumstances change, it’ll continue monitoring for potential savings on her behalf.

Sunday, August 12, 2018 — News began circulating this morning that Stryper's Oz Fox suffered a medical emergency on stage in Las Vegas overnight. In order to provide accurate information and dispel any rumors, the band has issued an official statement:

Our dear friend and lead-guitarist Oz Fox fell ill Saturday night while performing in Las Vegas with a side project that he sometimes plays in when not touring with Stryper. Oz suffered a seizure causing a fall on stage. After performing an MRI, doctors discovered an area of concern near his brain which they are now running a biopsy on. The doctors have instructed him not to drive or fly for 90 days. No additional information is available at this time. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and we will communicate additional information as it becomes available.

The logistics and options for current tour dates are being discussed with the respective promoters. U.S. tour dates will play as scheduled and in anticipation of a full recovery will include Oz Fox. The upcoming Australian tour will be performed as a trio (with the blessing of Oz), and will include Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet, and Perry Richardson. For our fans in Japan, please await an announcement from the concert promoter there as to the plans for the Japan tour.

Following is a May 09, 2018 USA Today article regarding the North Korean prisoner release of three Asian American citizens. 'God Bless America': Freed American prisoners thankful after being released from North Korea , and Franklin Graham's May 10 response to this article, and President Trump's intervening for their release, along with many thousands of Believers throughout the world, praying for this particular prisoner's release, of Tony Kim.

It is a tremendous blessing to see Franklin Graham so concerned about all things American as well as the Gospel, and to recognize and present so many good things about our country. We have not seen anything yet. And I mention him in my book, "Making America Righteous-Again: From Bitterness To A Delight". (Search Amazon key words, "Micheal D. Tobin"). I detail in a couple of the 14 chapters my involvement with Franklin Graham's, Samaritan'a Purse, and the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains, disaster response ministries since 2003 through which I was blessed to be a part of after Hurricane's Katrina, Rita, and others in the states of Florida, Louisians and Texas, as well as two of San Diego County's worst fires ever, in 2003 and 2007. My e-book was published in January 1, 2016, near the beginning of Trump's campaign. But if you listened to my interview with an American missionary to China and the world, a friend of mine a couple months ago, you would have caught the concept of, "a back door to the President" that tends to increase protection for innocent Christians in prisons throughout Asia. Included in our discussion was the case such as former White House occupant, Barack Obama, was the worst President ever, for American persecuted Christians who literally are imprisoned, tortured and often die because of their physical neglect of health conditions and torture, as well as another American who is a US Marine veteran who was falsely imprisoned in Mexico for several months in 2016, through President Trump's intervention while he was merely campaigning for President, and everyone thought he was going to lose. So now it is evident our current POTUS is becoming one of the best, with the release of these three American citizens and more, regardless of their faith or secular beliefs. Praise God for this miracle for these three Americans.

In light of North Korea releasing three American Korean's from years in prison, June's planned talks with U.S. President Donald J. Trump concerning NK President promises to de-nuclearize and become one Korea, I was reminded of a prophecy and podcast I had done and it so happens it was one year ago this month that I had spoken the following, which God had actually moved me to do. I had no idea what I was going to say until I was into the podcast and I very nervously and hesitantly went ahead with the podcast knowing God was never-the-less, going to speak something important.
