In 2002, there were 4,019,280 births in the United States, down slightly from 2001 (4,025,933). And continuong a 12-year decline prior the year 2002. ( http://usgovinfo.about.com/cs/censusstatistic/a/aabirthrate.htm ) According to the report in the URL link lested, CDC analysts say the birth rate is dropping as the increasing life span of Americans results in a smaller proportion of women of child childbearing age. But how can that be, when the number of U.S. abortions in United States this Year are already 996,413.8, and 52,810 of them are after 16 weeks (4 months) gestation? And in the US since 1973's Roe vs Wade is 55,556,037. As I write this, theres already been 1,583 abortions just today.
The Center For Disease and Control (CDC), and many other organizations such as Planned Parenthood and others can use all their data they want, but the truth is, the birth rate is dropping and abortions are climbing, every year. ( http://www.numberofabortions.com/ )
And the American household birthrate has also declined from 3 from when I was in grade school, (I'm 48 yrs old), to two per household now. Not only in the U.S., but all European countries also have low birth rates.
After reading what I have in this blog, and the links provided, my hopes are you can put 2-and-2 together, and see this is not good news. You may even spend a few hours, days weeks or even longer, researching into this at your leisure. But here, I do these blogs on my spare time, as I have a regular job I work, and don't write for a living. Otherwise I could make things much more concise and detailed. But each blog, I list the most useful and important sources for further information.
But if you are serious about wanting our nation to improve, and stop digressing in every aspect, I suggest to pray. Look at the two links I provided, and within those links, there are more sources of info provided.
If you have a Holy Bible, and have not accepted Jesus in your heart, I suggest reading the Bible and learning about and accepting Jesus. It's not a hard thing to do. Most churches provide free Bibles. If they only have a New Testament, tell them you'd like a complete Bible. Or they may have a book store and you can choose which one you'd like to start with. And here's a good online resource, as well. ( http://biblos.com/ )
Jeremiah 1:5 (New International Version) "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
