24:4-28 The disciples had asked concerning the times, When these things should be? Christ gave them no answer to that; but they had also asked, What shall be the sign? This question he answers fully. The prophecy first respects events near at hand, the destruction of Jerusalem, the end of the Jewish church and state, the calling of the Gentiles, and the setting up of Christ's kingdom in the world; but it also looks to the general judgment; and toward the close, points more particularly to the latter. What Christ here said to his disciples, tended more to promote caution than to satisfy their curiosity; more to prepare them for the events that should happen, than to give a distinct idea of the events. This is that good understanding of the times which all should covet, thence to infer what Israel ought to do. Our Saviour cautions his disciples to stand on their guard against false teachers. And he foretells wars and great commotions among nations. From the time that the Jews rejected Christ, and he left their house desolate, the sword never departed from them. See what comes of refusing the gospel. Those who will not hear the messengers of peace, shall be made to hear the messengers of war. But where the heart is fixed, trusting in God, it is kept in peace, and is not afraid. It is against the mind of Christ, that his people should have troubled hearts, even in troublous times. When we looked forward to the eternity of misery that is before the obstinate refusers of Christ and his gospel, we may truly say, The greatest earthly judgments are but the beginning of sorrows. It is comforting that some shall endure even to the end. Our Lord foretells the preaching of the gospel in all the world. The end of the world shall not be till the gospel has done its work. Christ foretells the ruin coming upon the people of the Jews; and what he said here, would be of use to his disciples, for their conduct and for their comfort. If God opens a door of escape, we ought to make our escape, otherwise we do not trust God, but tempt him. It becomes Christ's disciples, in times of public trouble, to be much in prayer: that is never out of season, but in a special manner seasonable when we are distressed on every side. Though we must take what God sends, yet we may pray against sufferings; and it is very trying to a good man, to be taken by any work of necessity from the solemn service and worship of God on the sabbath day. But here is one word of comfort, that for the elect's sake these days shall be made shorter than their enemies designed, who would have cut all off, if God, who used these foes to serve his own purpose, had not set bounds to their wrath. Christ foretells the rapid spreading of the gospel in the world. It is plainly seen as the lightning. Christ preached his gospel openly. The Romans were like an eagle, and the ensign of their armies was an eagle. When a people, by their sin, make themselves as loathsome carcasses, nothing can be expected but that God should send enemies to destroy them. It is very applicable to the day of judgment, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in that day, 2Th 2:1. Let us give diligence to make our calling and election sure; then may we know that no enemy or deceiver shall ever prevail against us.

  Yesterday was an elimination of months of homework for mainstream media, and now they have to look stupid because they have nothing to say on tv and have to start all over for their talking head talking points. 
  Russia and Syria claim that the chemical "attack" was actually an attack on terrorist chemical weapons supplies.

I had mentioned while broadcasting that the Holy Spirit gave me an assignment to pray for Sen Rand Paul. NOW, here is Sen Rand Paul's response to the soon to be, epic-and- unprecedented-attack-historical-consequences of this attack response. And my next attention is going to be focused on Russia's response as soon-to-be-related to a devastating attack on, of all places, CALIFORNIA.

  I had warned America of "the battle being on our soil", and the past 10 day's of this "Massive Bible Prophecy" series has also served as an awareness and warning, for what I believe is to come, literal fulfilments of Biblical prophecy concerning end-time events and the coming return of Jesus.
  A recurring thought I keep having is ever since Op D Storm and especially NYC Twin Towers, there have been lots of Biblically prophetic mirror images. But the problem with mirror images is that all objects in the image are juxtaposed. Biblical prophecy needs no image.

  I believe Syria was framed with the help of Turkey. Turkey had already disclosed earlier this week or last week that they plan on an invasion of northwest Syrian towns under the guise of fighting ISIS, so they may have motives for a preemptive strike or a false flag to gain global and public support. It may have been real. Or it may have been fake. A friend had posted something earlier, after I had already posted, that I believe Turkey was involved, that actually notes prior preparation from media and others with gas masks and suits the day before. Even noting that some of the "victims" had some blunt trauma marks on their bodies, even children.

This is a controversial comment and some will be upset or even outraged by what I am saying. But this comes after extensive research and current incoming information by those on the ground over a long period of time-including high ranking patriotic military personnel. It is going to be up to the remnant church whether or not we become seekers of truth through prayer and research in this hour, or if we continue to believe the propagandized narrative that we are fed by the mainstream corporate media and ruling class elites as it will continue to disseminate in such a way.
The situation in Syria is a result of the Obama administration and the long standing globalist policies even into the Bush era. They have several objectives in Syria and in the broader Middle East region. General Wesley Clark testifies to this as well.
1. Destabilize Syria by arming and equipping rebel factions (including even some ISIS affiliates) to overthrow the current Assad government. Initiate a "civil war" that will result in regime change and further put pressure on Iran.
2. The objective of regime change is due to a desire to continue the "Arab Spring" which destabilized the middle eastern region's governments (only ones that are outside of full western central banking control) in an effort to remain on the US dollar global standard (Petro-Dollar) system. If the countries of the Middle East were to exit the US dollar or continue to do bilateral trade deals with Russia and China (and other countries) outside of the US dollar, the US dollar would lose its "global reserve currency" status and this would send the current global financial order into a tailspin resulting in a new global currency system. The US economy would then not have the advantage of printing its way out of massive amounts of debt and deficit and the central banking elites could lose control-unless they themselves set the financial system off with a new plan or currency initiation. (Breaking from the Bretton Woods agreement and going into a new global currency-which is in their plan in the near future)
3. The Turkish stream pipeline has been a major objective of the West. It needs to go through Turkey and Syria to get to Europe. This would be a major advantage to the West to have this pipeline, but Russia and Iran (in partnership with Syria) are offering their own pipeline that would benefit Russia, Iran and Syria. This has been a major source of contention.
4. The global elites desperately want a war with Russia. Russia has significant influence in Syria and are outside of the western central banking controlled countries. They also have a naval base in Syria. One of only 10 in the world (outside of Russia). The US has 280 outside of the US mainland. Russia stepped in to stop the arming and equipping of the Islamic rebels and to try and stabilize the Syrian government and stop the Western backed civil war to overthrow the current Syrian government. This is after the West overthrew the governments of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and The Ukraine-also after the West (under Obama) induced much of the Arab Spring. Russia is still subject to the swift banking system (part of the western central banking system-dollar based exchange) but has recently (with the help of the BRICS countries) developed an alternative system to the swift system. They (along with China) have also developed the AIIB which is an alternative to the western central bank. This is very destabilizing to the US dollar dominance which is a major reason why Russia is target number one.
Although Russia has its own problems and is far from perfect, it is not what the USSR once was. Russia is more focused on its domestic problems and they are many. It's military is not sufficient to fight the NATO alliance led by the US forces. The only way it could go to war with the West is if it would be to go nuclear or partner with China. The NATO forces have Russia surrounded on almost every flank in Eastern Europe.
Why war with Russia?
It sounds like lunacy to want a war with a nuclear nation like Russia. But the elites are not exactly in a lucid state of mind. These are people that are given to Lucifer and a luciferian religious belief-they are extremely dark and evil people. Their objective is total world dominance and a one world global government. They despise Christians. There are only a few nations left that stand in their way to initiate this plan. If they can overthrow Russia, and get the whole planet to be under their system, then this sinister plan can be a reality in the very near future. They want to take physical cash away and go digital, so that all transactions are controllable and can be tracked. This is what the Bible talks about.
Donald Trump is surrounded by hostiles. Although he is outside of the global elites, much of the Republican and Democrat parties are part of the deep state one party system. These are the globalists that want a borderless society and one world global government. It is not clear if Trump alone can root out this deeply rooted group of hostile individuals and their sinister plans. If the globalists are successful in starting a war with Russia, it will greatly destabilize the current global order and semi-peace around the world. If you read Pikes document of the Third World War plan, written by the elites, you will see much of what is happening is exactly on target for their plans! This is why we need to understand that most of this is exactly what is described is what will happen in biblical prophecy.
I am a patriot that loves this country and it's constitution. I am praying that there is a restoration of the morals and values that we were founded on! Let us turn back to Jesus Christ and repent of our wicked ways as a people!

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

  While we're at it let's pray for the peace of Jerusalem. There will be no need for Turkish president Erdogen's 7 year treaty to protect Jerusalem. Also pray Damascus and Israel can be defended against Turkish invasion. As for America pray we can be delivered from idiocy. And pray for our President as he is constantly attacked for doing what most still have no clue of the necessity of.

  Well, some of you may be familiar with online broadcasts and blogs I've done since 2011 when the "Arab Spring" began, and the Syrian fight against terrorism followed, and as before the Arab Spring, God had already had me interceding for Syria and the Biblical prophecies concerning the destruction of Damascus, which is the oldest continuously existent city that has never been utterly destroyed, but is prophesied to be in the end times. 
  Since then I had learned about my friend, Craig C. White, www.hightimetoawake.com who I've also interviewed several times within these past roughly 6 years concerning then, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogen, and now President Erdogen, and his desires and plans to revive the Ottoman Empire and to become the entire Muslim Imam and Sultan. • Pray for God's timing to be upheld for His end-time agenda. And remember that it's not the Muslims who are the enemy--it's the spirit of Islam that is holding multitudes in the captivity of a system built on repressing lies. Pray for Jesus to reveal Himself to the Muslims in dreams and visions, and pray for those who are risking their lives to evangelize them.

So that was a very timely message from a friend, and for all of us to be aware of, friends.

There is so much more news and articles to add to all my friend Sharon said, and you can take it to the bank when the 7 year treaty comes up that Erdogen comes up with to "protect" Israel or Jerusalem and all involved, the Church and world is going to become quite an interesting place. I'm not saying he is the actual fulfillment but he sure fits the bill completely so far. I have been interceding along with a few intercessors ever since Syria has been overrun by terrorists they call a civil war started in 2011. Sharon's prayer list is perfect. Thank you all for sharing this I need to catch up and pray more concerning safety of Damascus and Israel along with these prayer points and of course how the Spirit leads. Thank you Jesus.The enemy is going to be mad. But God's kingdom is going to be enlarged.

Beware Of The Emerging Church Movement! In Memory: Caryl Matrisciana March 15, 1947-Dec 2, 2016

  The following is an excerpt taken from a youtube video and link, which I give the source link below. Sadly, I just learned of the passing of one of our great women of God, who went to be with the Lord on Dec. 2, 2016, the end of last year. She was born March 15, 1947, and died at the age of 69 years. 

  This would be the 3rd memoriam I've blogged or broadcast on, the first being for Billy Graham's right-hand man, Cliff Barrows. And I blogged, but didn't broadcast about Pastor Chuck Smith, who has had a tremendous influence on my whole Christian life and walk.

  For those I do this for, and I may do in the future, it is because I've either known them, or because I want to record some trail of influence the person has had on my life and walk, mainly with the Lord.

  In Caryl Matriciana's case, myself being a former AM Christian radio deejay/News Director/Production mgr between 1989-1994, I have met with, interviewed, read and aired countless ministries, evangelists and teachers, so many I can not remember them all, but in my research, I just found a connection to the late David Hunt, founder of The Berean Call ministry, who I have had the privilege to meet, see and hear him present sermons before his passing. Also, while Pastor Mike Cross was TBC's editor at that time, Pastor Mike was also my pastor at Bend Calvary Chapel during the 7 years I had lived in Bend, Oregon from 1997-2003, which also is the headquarters city of The Berean Call.

  So there is quite a unique trail of influence in my spiritual growth, being Caryl's relationship with TBC, (as you will see in a memoriam article below), and after viewing this video, I distinctly remember her voice as being someone I have had the opportunity to broadcast as far back as my radio days, and her ministry focus is definitely part of the memory as in the early 1990's it was a hot subject on radio, yet still going un noticed even now in today's Church. 

  So along with my own personal desire to logue and reference these historical figures, my main goal is also to share a Word for the minute, something the Holy Spirit is stirring in my heart, to share with the few who will read and listen to whatever it is I may blog and broadcast about, now.

Beware Of The Emergent Church!

Here she offers insights into the false teachings and doctrines that are permeating throughout the Church. She explains how the Church has been adopting pagan eastern mysticism, practices and traditions (Colossians 2:8). Caryl reminds us to test the spirits, to beware of the seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, as the Bible says. She uncovers the plot that Satan is using the Emergent Church to gather the denominations and gather the world's religions into the one world religion prophesied in the Book of Revelation.

Matthew 7:15-18 is a great standard to judge all individuals and even the world's religions. Ask yourself what is the fruit? In Hinduism, the legacy of the religion has been poverty and suffering in India. In Islam, the fruits of the religion have been death, unrest, chaos that is found even among Muslims. In true Biblical Christianity, not the fake Cultural Christianity, there is genuine peace, love, prosperity and wisdom. Jesus told us that we will know the true servants of God by their fruit! Our sweet friend and sister Caryl Matrisciana has moved on from this earth into the presence of our glorious Savior, joining many of our dearest brothers and sisters who have left us in just the past few years. There is no question that they have gone to a better place and would never want to come back, but we mourn the loss of lives that seem to have been taken too soon.

Caryl Matrisciana was a woman of great talent. Not only was she a gifted and articulate speaker, writer, and film producer, but she was also an artist, a skilled gardener with a love of flowers, and, most important, one who had a passion and a love for Jesus and for people. Her friendliness and engaging personality attracted individuals from all walks of life.

An avid tennis player right up until her final months on earth, Caryl had always been in excellent health. A horrific bicycle accident a couple of years ago left her with lingering pain in one of her legs, but that didn’t stop her from playing tennis, exercising, and working at the same incredible pace that she had always kept.

Right when it seemed that she was on the mend from the accident, she received a diagnosis of breast cancer. Just as Caryl had always researched every thread of heresy that threatened to invade the body of Christ, she added to her list the new assignment of digging into the source and cure for this invader of her own body. Before she had even consented to surgery and possible chemotherapy and other treatments, she received the news that the cancer had spread to her lungs and to her bones. A special form of chemo was prescribed and she put herself on a very rigid diet, which required amazing discipline to follow.

Her dependence on the Lord grew even stronger during that time, and as a friend who lived nearby and spent quite a bit of time with her, I came to admire her determination to continue living as normally as possible while being continually aware that she was under what seemed to be a death sentence. Her tennis playing continued, as did her traveling, attending conferences, church, Bible study, and also sharing dinners with friends.

Caryl Matrisciana, with her beautiful British accent, lovely blue eyes, and a musical lilt to her voice, carried herself with unpracticed grace and elegance. She had a quick sense of humor and a heart of great compassion. Her love for the truth outweighed nearly every other interest that she had.

Having grown close to her in the past few years through my work at TBC and the fact that we have lived in neighboring towns in Southern California for the past five years, my appreciation for this lady’s skill and stamina is great. And yet she never boasted or took pride in any of her accomplishments, always acknowledging that the Lord was the one who brought the ideas and people into her life and opened the doors for the wonderful results. She never failed to seek guidance from men and other women in ministries as a safeguard to ensure the integrity of her work. She had had a close relationship with Dave and Ruth Hunt from earlier days, and that friendship remained strong until they both went to be with the Lord in 2013.

All of this has borne fruit through the materials that she has produced, which are carried and distributed by several sources including The Berean Call and Lighthouse Trails, among several other ministries. (We at TBC have carried and still carry many of her products including controversial DVDs, such as “Yoga Uncoiled” and “Exposing Christian Palestinianism.”)

A warrior who never walked away from a challenge, whether it be to her faith or to her health, Caryl sought to serve the Lord with all she had until the very end of her life. One evening, when it was evident that her cancer, despite all of her efforts and treatments and diets and prayers, seemed to be winning the battle, I went to visit her and her sister Jenny from England, who was staying with her for a while (and was truly a ministering servant to her sister). Caryl was in too much pain to even sit still at the table without crying out and went into the bedroom. Jenny and I had a nice conversation while we finished eating, and then she suggested that it would be perfectly all right for me to go in and visit with Caryl. We sat and talked at length about many things, among them trying to understand the “why” of her suffering. It was a question about something that, like Job’s situation, couldn’t be answered but only accepted.

Even as we wrestled through that subject, with both of us weeping a bit on and off, I saw her suddenly lift herself from the morass of pain and the indignity that she was being forced to endure as she asked me if I could help her to get a blog started. She said that in her present condition it was the only way that she had left to reach out in ministry to others. We discussed different subjects, and she settled on a title that would begin with the idea of being “Housebound – Satan Meant It for Evil, but God Meant It for Good.” She asked if I could do a little research and send her some ideas along those lines that would help her to get her creative juices flowing again. As we discussed different topics, she rallied and indignantly addressed several recent unholy movements in the body of Christ that were being promoted. We talked about the faithfulness of the Lord, and His goodness even through the darkness. I told her to sit still a minute and went into the bathroom to get a hand mirror. I gave it to her and said, “Look at yourself!” She looked into the mirror, not understanding. I said, “Caryl, when we were talking earlier, your features looked drawn and sad and defeated, but when we began to talk about the Lord and a way that He might be able to still use you, your face softened and that spark of light came back into your eyes. You look younger and you’re practically glowing!” She looked back into the mirror and smiled. “The Lord is so good to me,” she said quietly.

A couple of weeks later she bravely attended my backyard wedding. It was a very small gathering, but many who attended knew who she was and were honored to see her there. Only a few of us were aware of what it took for her to attend—her pain was unimaginable by that time. The Lord was her strength, yet we were the ones who were blessed by His helping her to be there.

It was only a little more than a month later that, after several failed attempts to reach her by phone or text, I finally spoke with her son Josh, who told me that his mom wasn’t expected to make it through the weekend. He said that I was welcome to visit her and that, even though she was unconscious, the medical people had said that she could probably still hear. I drove over there the next morning, but no one answered the door. Suddenly, someone was standing beside me, and I looked up. Josh, who lives nearby, was there, and I knew by his face that she was already gone. We hugged and cried a little and had a short, sweet conversation before I said goodbye.

On the drive home, my heart and mind were filled with many thoughts fighting with one another: joy over the release from her body that this sweet warrior is now experiencing as she beholds the actual presence of God; sorrow for those of us left here, who have to press on and carry on that fight in these times that grow harder each day.

Caryl Matrisciana was a one-of-a-kind woman, feminine to the core, and yet with the kind of fighting spirit that enabled her to dive fearlessly into dark places and expose the evil inside. She was blessed with a family who loved her and a multitude of friends who will miss her terribly.

The Lord was her Savior, her Rock, her Fortress. Because she allowed God to use her, no matter her trials and afflictions, in fighting for the truth of His Word, many of us have been the grateful beneficiaries of the grace and wisdom He bestowed upon her.

Thank You, Lord, for putting Caryl on this earth and also for gathering her to Yourself. We all long for the day when we, too, will see You face to face. Meanwhile, we ask for our own grieving hearts that You will give us comfort and also fill us with Your Spirit to be able to carry on the work that remains to be done here on this planet as so many of your fighting saints are being called home. Maranatha! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

I'll just say I'm sticking to my story because I just find it more difficult to believe one week of something as sudden as that hole in the dam would bring us to where we're at now, unless it was an attack, rather than 4 years of drought. Somebody thinks we're dumber than I may be making myself out to be, by being some conspiracy theorist, which is kind of embarrassing, but this seems quite different and I'll take the scorn for it. 

Michael Tobin- I'm about 900+ miles south. I have a friend in West Virginia who actually had a vision last year thet there was a huge flood near the San Francisco Bridge! If you look at the map, you'll see that the water flow a couple hundred miles north east where Oroville Dam is, leads all the way into the SF BAY! So if God sees fit to show someone something before it happens, then there is some significance that He wants His people to be aware of. My friend, who is a personal friend I had known since Bible school, from 1989-1994 before coming back to California, actually has a daughter living near the San Francisco Bay south of the Grizzly Bay! I just found that out. So her daughter is right near below a place called Grizzly Bay that the Feather River leads from the dam, down to the Sacramento River, then on down to the San Joaquin River AND a canal, on down to the Grizzly Bay that her daughter lives just a few miles below. We'll see if it reaches all the way down there but I don't believe it will be disastrous because the Grizzly Bay, which looks like a humongous lake, goes into the San Francisco Bay, THEN to the Pacific Ocean. Hense, my friend's vision of the San Francisco Bridge and a flood! Praise Jesus Mom knows everything huh?

It's all for corruption, power and money. Michael Tobin- It's either an attack or it's our own doing this for actual on-hands experience for national security and military prior to destroying the Mosul Dam, which is literally ancient Ninevah, as prophesied in the book of Nahum that Ninevah will be flooded. I didn't cover the part that it might be a deliberate training scenario though. But I believe more that it is a foreign attack. That is what I believe the Lord is showing me. Michael Tobin- What's happening now, from Los Angeles Times 10:30PM UPDATE Pacific Time Sunday, Feb 12, 2017 --- Evacuations ordered below Oroville Dam after a hole is found in its emergency spillway --- Tns of thousands of residents in Northern California were ordered to immediately evacuate Sunday afternoon after erosion at the emergency spillway at Lake Oroville threatened to flood downstream towns. 

The flood danger emerged suddenly when a hole developed Sunday in the auxiliary spillway that was being used to lower the levels of the full-to-the brim reservoir. The erosion could undermine the concrete top of the spillway, allowing torrents of water to wash downhill into the Feather River and flood Oroville and other towns in Yuba, Sutter and Butte counties.

Sunday night, officials said the threat had diminished because the lake level had dropped and water was no longer washing over the emergency spillway. But the situation at Oroville remained precarious. The two main avenues for getting water out of the lake – the unpaved emergency spillway and the main concrete spillway – were both damaged.

Both spillways are separate from Oroville dam itself, which state officials continued to say was not in danger. The main spillway, a long concrete chute off to the side of the dam, has a gaping gash in it that forced officials to reduce releases last week.

And the arrival of a new storm system later this week put water officials on a race against time. Bill Croyle, the acting director of the state Department of Water Resources, said they planned to continue discharging flows at a rate of 100,000 cubic feet per second, with the hope of lowering the reservoir level by 50 feet.

"This is not a Drill. Repeat this is not a drill,” the National Weather Service said Sunday, urging people living below Oroville Dam to evacuate. The evacuation was ordered because of a “hazardous situation” involving the Northern California dam's emergency spillway. The National Weather Service said the auxiliary spillway is expected to fail and could send an “uncontrolled release of flood waters from Lake Oroville.”

Interestingly enough, in tying up how I am relating the two California dam scenarios with the Mosul (Ninevah) Dam imminent target of enemy destruction; A small plane with a flight student, a male instructor and another male, crashed right near the Sutherland Dam, slightly north of the crash site in Ramona, CA (San Diego County), with one fatality, the female. But the two males names have NOT been released nor even mentioned of the ability to mention the names. I believe the news are purposefully not even mentioning anything about their names because, the way things have been going with so many prior incidences, the names have turned out to be an Islamic, Arabic/Middle Eastern nature. So I am waiting for their names. If your reading this and do not know the names yet it is because they still have not been released. I will update when the names are revealed. But I believe it is highly likely that this small Southern California Sutherland Dam was a target missed, as the eyewitness accounts of the final flight pattern near the dam, are definitely abnormal. I'm sorry folks but I've got this feeling all of this is related, and after the Mosul ISIS guy is dead, there will be retaliation, but the retaliation has already began, and the Oroville Dam is already part of it, and quite possibly this small southern CA dam was a missed target, and who cares, as even our own President Trump is even threatening our state with withholding of Federal funds and we're a laughingstock to the whole country anyways, right? But as far as the Mosul Dam is concerned, the ISIS leader and ISIS headquarters are located in ancient Ninevah, now Mosul, right where the Mosul Dam is, and is under threat of being destroyed. So for monumental reasons, it seems opportune for some of our terrorist enemies inflict us in the same manner they know THEY are soon to be inflicted by.

As far as your dream about a flood San Francisco represents California because of the Golden Gate bridge and the 9th Circuit Court of appeals is located in SF also. This whole judge situation here calls for a flood in my opinion and our President has already threatened California to withold all Fed funds.

Iraqi news outlets claim Abu Bakr al-Bahgdadi seriously hurt, transferred to Syria for treatment

Even this article casts doubts about the claims of his injury. It says that al-Baghdadi was injured in Mosul which is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. The article says that he was transported to Syria. Greater Mosul is surrounded. If al-Baghdadi was transported to Syria then how did ISIS get him past the Iraqi Army, Kurdish Peshmerga, and Iranian backed Shia troops? I suspect that al-Baghdadi will die inside of Mosul just like Assyrian king Sinsharishkun died inside of Nineveh when it flooded in 612 BC. Sinsharishkun committed suicide when he saw that the walls of Nineveh were breached. 

I think that the Prophet Nahum identifies al-Baghdadi in the following verse.

Nahum 1:11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

The Old Testament book of Nahum is all about the flooding and destruction of the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Today Mosul is built around the ruins of Nineveh. I think that Nahum also predicts the flooding of ISIS in Mosul.

Nineveh was destroyed by a flood along with three invading armies in 612 BC. When the walls of Nineveh collapsed the Assyrian King Sinsharishkun committed suicide inside of the city. Sinsharishkun is certainly represented in Nahum 1:11. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may also be represented.

That all makes complete sense. Also, beings it would be impossible for al Baghdadi to get past allied army, then it may just be a strategic code story that his time is coming soon as the Mosul dam's destruction is imminent now that our own U.S. intelligence is well aware that the Oroville Dam is a related similarity target as well as this Southern CA Sutherland Dam that was missed, but the main target, Oroville, is mission accomplished. So now the guy is ready to go home to his 70 virgins in the sky. I think all hell is breaking loose and we're pre occupied with Federal aid recipients taking drug tests, Lady Gaga and all the other non sense.

State water officials watched nervously Sunday as thousands of cubic feet of water continued to gush over Lake Oroville’s emergency spillway every second — an unprecedented measure to reduce water volume in the state’s second largest reservoir that neared capacity this weekend.

The spillway — an open hillside that drains to the Feather River below — had never been used since the Oroville Dam was completed in 1968, raising concerns over how it will hold up and whether boulders, brush and other debris will threaten fish and levees downstream.

The backup spillway has so far performed as designed after water started cascading down the chute Saturday morning.

“It’s still a dynamic situation and they’re trying to mitigate any threats downstream,” Capt. Dan Olson with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said Sunday. “I think they’re making progress.”

Water began to fall over the emergency spillway at 8 a.m. Saturday and was expected to continue through Sunday at least. Flows peaked at 12,600 cubic feet per second at 1 a.m. Sunday, and have since decreased as the lake drains.

Cal Fire teams are positioned with cranes and excavators to catch any large debris that could wash down the Feather River and become snagged at the next gated spillway closer to the city of Oroville.

“There has been minimal to no debris,” Olson said.

The trouble with reservoir started last Tuesday when operators detected a hole in the dam’s primary spillway, a 3,000-foot long concrete-lined channel that has been used often in this especially wet winter.

The hole grew dramatically in the following days, prompting officials to slow the outflow of the main spillway to 55,000 cubic feet per second — less than the inflow of 90,000 cubic feet per second that was dumping into lake from recent storms and runoff.

The primary channel appears to have stabilized with no additional damage observed since Saturday morning, officials said. The cost of repairing the concrete spillway has soared to as much as $200 million.

On Sunday, the lake’s inflow decreased to about 52,000 cubic feet per second, allowing the water level to come down from within 21 feet of the top of the dam.

Before Saturday, crews cleared trees, brush and other debris out of the emergency channel to prevent problems downstream. Water flow has caused minimal erosion to the hillside, state Department of Water Resources officials said.

Lake Oroville and its dam — the nation’s tallest at 770 feet — are cornerstones of the state’s water project. The reservoir is the second largest in the state behind Lake Shasta and supplies water to Central Valley along with districts in the Bay Area and Southern California.

Downstream at the Feather River Fish Hatchery in Oroville, officials with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife scrambled to move salmon eggs and hatchlings into nearby holding ponds due to brown and silty water that threatened the fish.

The outflow from the lake was not expected to create flooding problems along the Feather River, officials said.

OROVILLE, Butte County — Butte County residents near the Oroville Reservoir, including the entire town of Oroville, were ordered to evacuate Sunday evening after the emergency spillway next to the reservoir’s dam suffered a possible structural failure, officials said.

“There has been severe erosion of the emergency spillway and a possible structural breach that could send uncontrolled water down the stream,” said Chris Orrock, a spokesman with the California Department of Water Resources.

Residents downstream from Lake Oroville were ordered to evacuate. Counties around the reservoir, the second largest in the state, and down to Sacramento were notified about the possibility of flooding.

Department of Water Resources officials issued a statement just before 4:45 p.m. that the “auxiliary spillway at the dam was predicted to fail within the hour.”

Officials increased water releases out of the primary spillway to 100,000 cubic feet per second to relieve pressure on the emergency spillway.

An evacuation shelter was set up at the Silver Dollar Fairground in Chico at 2357 Fair St.

Traffic was bumper to bumper as residents of Oroville, Biggs and Gridley headed slowly out of the possible flood zone eastbound on Highway 162.

“This is very serious,” said Scott McClean, a spokesman with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection who was in the evacuation traffic. “From what I understand it’s the auxiliary spillway at a point of possible collapse. I’m just trying to get through traffic.”

The amount of water gushing over Lake Oroville’s emergency spillway had begun to decrease before the emergency Sunday as state officials pushed ahead with urgent measures to make room in the state’s second-largest reservoir.

The emergency spillway — an open hillside that drains to the Feather River below — had never been used since the Oroville Dam was completed in 1968. The discharge that began early Saturday raised concerns over how the backup channel would hold up, and whether debris would threaten fish and levees downstream.

The primary concrete spillway just south of the overflow area, meanwhile, was thought to have stabilized after a gigantic hole emerged in its 3,000-foot-long channel last week. The gash forced operators to reduce the outflow, which set the stage for this weekend’s unprecedented situation.

Another wet-weather system, in what has been a soaking winter, is on deck to hit Northern California on Wednesday, requiring water managers to make still more room in Lake Oroville for another surge.

The series of Pacific storms is expected to bring up to 4 inches of rain to parts of the Central Valley, said Idamis Del Valle, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Sacramento office.

“We need to do everything we can to maximize our ability to move water our of this reservoir — not just for the coming storm but for the coming storms,” said Bill Croyle, acting director of department of water resources. “Our planning is both short term and long term.”

Teams were dredging an area composed of silt, rock and hunks of concrete debris that has formed under the primary spillway following recent erosion.

The blockage forced water in the diversion pool to back up toward the dam and has threatened the Edward Hyatt Power plant at the base of the concrete behemoth.

The power station, which was closed late Friday due to the threat, serves as a third release point for the reservoir when it is operational. The facility expels up to 14,000 cubic feet of water per second downriver.

Officials had stressed earlier Sunday that the structural integrity of the 770-foot Oroville Dam — the tallest in the country — had not been compromised by the damaged spillway.

Once the dredging is completed, crews must rewire overhead power lines that were taken out of service after support towers were threatened by erosion.

Operators first detected the hole in the primary spillway Tuesday. Subsequent releases down the slide made the hole grow dramatically, exposing bedrock even beyond the 180-foot-wide channel.

Officials stabilized the hole and stopped further erosion by slowing the outflow to 55,000 cubic feet per second. But 90,000 cubic feet of water per second continued to dump into Lake Oroville and pushed the reservoir over capacity on Saturday.

“The problem is we don’t have that flexibility right now,” Croyle said. “Our bowl is full. So, what comes in comes out.”

By Sunday, the rate of inflow had fallen to 41,400 cubic feet of water per second, officials said.

The estimated cost of repairing the concrete spillway has soared to as much as $200 million, and officials are debating whether it can be patched when the rains end, or if a new chute will be needed altogether.

Under clear skies, many residents from nearby communities headed to Oroville on Sunday in hopes of seeing the raging Feather River or the damaged spillway. They parked and walked along streets overlooking the murky water, but public access to the spillways next to the dam was blocked.

The reservoir is the second largest in the state behind Lake Shasta and supplies water to Central Valley along with districts in the Bay Area and Southern California.

On Sunday, the cause of the hole in the main spillway was still being investigated. But experts noted repairs had been made to the spillway in 2013 near where the hole emerged.

Robert Bea, a U.C. Berkeley engineering professor, reviewed 2015 inspection reports that made note of the earlier repairs to the concrete slabs.

“From what I can tell from the photographs, it appears that the water pressures from the recent releases were great enough to cause failure of the repairs made to the base slabs,” he told The Chronicle.

Downstream from the dam at the Feather River Fish Hatchery in Oroville, officials with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife had moved nearly all their salmon hatchlings into nearby holding ponds due to brown and silty water that threatened the fish.
